Pamela Snodgrass, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to her Lord and Savior on February 23, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born July 25, 1954 in Lubbock, TX to Hudson and Jean Routh and lived in Artesia, N.M. Being an oilfield kid, her journey took her from Artesia to Hobbs, N.M., and then to Monahans, where her son Phillip was born, and then to Midland. Upon graduation from nursing school in San Angelo, TX, she and Phillip moved back to Midland, where she met and married Jim Jensen. Their journey took them to Sacramento, CA where Pamela took up Country Swing dancing. She won a multitude of awards and contests, including the U.S. National Couples Swing Dance Championship in Albuquerque, N.M. in 1989.After Pamela and Phillip’s return from Sacramento to Midland, she met Chapman Snodgrass while buying car insurance from him. Oddly enough, Chapman recognized Pamela from a video of that championship dance performance in Albuquerque, and they became fast friends and were married on January 26, 1996.Pamela was a kind-hearted spirit and made friends easily. She never met a stranger, and her home was always open for any occasion, big or small. From birthday parties, to anniversaries, Thanksgiving or Christmas, she always served a meal fit for king or queen, and everyone was welcome. There were no strangers or stragglers. She thought of everyone she cared for as “her chickens” and prayed for us all every single day. “Lord, keep my chickens safe today and make sure they have all the eggs they need, Amen”. Even kids that weren’t hers or barely knew her called her Aunt Pam and she was loved and cherished by all who met her…unless you messed with one of her chickens. Then God help you!Pamela was preceded in death by our beloved “Nana”, Noma Atchison, “Uncle Red”, James Routh, Phillip’s father, Jim Jensen, and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and “chickens”.She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Chapman Snodgrass, her son Phillip Jensen, grandson Ethan Jensen and wife Ashilee and their daughter Lucy Jane, and grandson Troy Jensen. Parents Hudson and Jean Routh, sister Paula Anderson Garcia and husband Angelo, niece Lauri Anderson Alford and husband Aaron and their sons Owen and Everett, brother Curtis Routh, niece Emma Routh Parkins and husband Luke and their sons Zaylon and Barrett, and nephew Paul Routh, brother Tobin Routh and wife Carol, niece Tara Routh Decker and husband Rob and their children Madi and Odie, nephew David Routh and wife Shelle, Todd Robbins and family, Tonya Stumberg and family, and many other cousins, friends and “chickens”.Funeral arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch, 3800 N. Big Spring St., will be held Tuesday, February 28th at 3 p.m. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.,
