Edward Perry Bolger 78, of Midland, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016 surrounded by his family. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 5:00-7:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 1:00PM at First Presbyterian Church with a private burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.Perry was born on May 5, 1938 in Dallas, TX, to Ian and Edward Bolger. He met Caroline, his beloved wife, while studying at The University of Texas. They were married in Wichita Falls on January 28, 1961. Together they raised 4 children, Perry Bolger, Jr., of Houston; Barr Bolger and wife Christa of Midland; Catherine Bolger Graham and husband Mark of Charlotte, NC; and Caroline Bolger Hinson and husband Mike of Austin. He loved and put his family first, including his 9 grandchildren: Jack and his wife, Shelby Bolger of Lubbock; Emma and Brady Bolger of Midland; Mac, J.P., and Kell Graham of Charlotte, NC; Jamison and Adelle Hinson of Austin; Kate Bolger of Houston and his beloved great-grandson, John Barr Bolger, III, of Lubbock.Perry served in Vietnam as a member of the United States Air Force and received the Bronze Star for his service. He was President of the Permian Basin Petroleum Association, President of the Petroleum Club, President of Midland Country Club, President of The Board of Trinity School, a member of First Presbyterian Church, Founding Director of United Bank, Founding Director of Texas Commerce Bank, Founder and Director of Colony Energy, Founder and President of Brazos Petroleum, and Objective Committee Member of IPAA and TIPRO.The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Summer Merritt and Permian Basin Caregivers. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been directed to Midland Children’s Rehabilitation Center (802 Ventura Ave, Midland, TX 79705), First Presbyterian Church of Midland (800 W Texas Ave, Midland, TX 79701), or Hospice of Midland (911 W Texas Ave, Midland, TX 79701).,
