Freda O'Brien

Freda O'Brien, 58, of Big Spring, died Sunday, May 18, 2014 in a Martin County Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Springcreek Fellowship.The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday evening at 3805 Connally.Freda was born February 11, 1956 in Valdosta, Georgia, She moved to Big Spring when she was 16 years old. She worked for the Security State Bank for a short time and then spent over 30 years in the propane industry working for Trio Fuels and finally Pinnacle Propane. Her love was raising kids and was \Nana\ to many.She is survived by two daughters, Erica Cervantes and husband, Oscar of Big Spring, and Kevy O'Brien and Jason Key of Coahoma; one son, Frederic Blake Lanspery of Slaton; three grandchildren, Jesse, Aissa, and Ozzie Cervantes; one sister, Freddie Shugrue; two nieces, Christa and Hailey Shugrue and an uncle, Bill Jackson and wife, Linda all of Jacksonville, Florida. She is also survived by Harry and Josephine Brinkman and a special cousin, Pam Guidry and husband, Heavy of Big Spring,Freda was preceded in death by husbands, John O'Brien and Eric Lanspery; and her parents, Fred and Wanell (Leggett) Graham.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
