Altie Lee, 88, of Big Spring, Texas died quietly in her home Sunday, March 16, 2014. Altie was born April 2, 1925 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to John Henry Cherry and Georgia Mellisa Cherry. Altie married Arnold Lee April 24, 1948 in Colorado City, Texas. She is survived by her children, Mary Farmer, Ivy Carrigan and Henry Lee; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 8 brothers and sisters, a grandson, a great-grandson and a granddaughter-in-law. She devoted her life to her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a homemaker, an avid gardener, loved to sew and loved working alongside her husband on various projects. A private family graveside ceremony will be held in Colorado City, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
