Evelyn S. Bush departed this life for her heavenly home on Friday, January 24, 2014 at the age of 88. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 3:00-5:00PM at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Graveside services will be held at 2:15PM, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.Evelyn was born on May 9, 1925 to Vida and C.R. Simonds of Fort Worth, Texas. She married George E. Bush on September 20, 1947 in Fort Worth and they moved to Midland with Southwestern Bell in 1957. She was a devoted mom and wife to her husband George and to her only child, Carla. When Carla married, she considered her son-in-law to be the son she always dreamed of. Evelyn also made many great friends while being involved in the Lions Club Auxiliary and baking pies for many years of Chili Suppers. In her later years her six great grandchildren brought her incredible joy and happiness. There was not an inch of wall or refrigerator that was not covered with their pictures, and she had loving conversations with those pictures daily. She is survived by her husband, George E. Bush; daughter, Carla Bush Rowland and her husband, Joe Dan of Horseshoe Bay, TX; 2 grandchildren, Brad Rowland and wife, Shareese, and Todd Rowland and wife, Melissa; 6 great-grandchildren, Jack, Harrison, George, Clive, Pierce, and Scarlett Rowland. ,
