Rex Chambers, 81, of Midland, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013, in a local hospital. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the funeral home.Rex was born march 16, 1932 to Madie and Thomas Chambers in Cross Cut, TX. He attended Texas Tech University. He served in the United States Air Force in the Korean conflict. He married Joreen L. Baker on July 19, 1952 in Carlsbad, NM. They have lived in the Midland community since 1983. Rex worked in oil and gas production, retiring in 1999.Survivors include wife, Joreen Chambers of Midland; son, J.A. Chambers and wife Prissy of Midland; daughter, Teresa Wright and husband Stacy of Midland; grandchildren, B.J. Chambers, Alex Chambers, Shane Wright and Haylee Wright; and great grandchild, Sophia Wright.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
