At lunch today, I picked up the Big Spring Herald and flipped to the obituaries and there was an announcement of death that absolutely took my breath. Greg Walker had died. I immediately picked up the phone to call Robin. I tried to convey to her how shocked and sorry I was for her loss of Greg. I looked back with great fondness to the time when we were all friends. Greg and Robin were the best friends (couple friend) that Ronnie and I ever had. For many years we did all things together. We went to rodeos - swimming --- card playing --- boating --- cruising --- Christmas parades and just hanging out. It was such a fun time. I really look back at those times as some of the best of my life. It is just so sad. I have a lump in my throat. I know that Greg was the Head of his family and I know that since he is no longer here in body that he will continue on in spirit in Garrett and Ryan and especially in Robin. It is hard to imagine that the Greg that made everyone laugh and argued with me is not out on North Birdwell. Even thought it has been ten years that Ronnie and I have been there, we imagined ever thing to be the same. We have taken pause to honor this lovely family. Paula and Ronnie Jones
