Mamie Madry, 100, of Arlington, formerly of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at her daughter's residence in Arlington. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Gene Jones, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.She was born on September 12, 1910, in Kosse, Texas and married Jessie Clay Madry on March 9, 1929 in Lamesa, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1990.Mamie came to Big Spring in 1946 from Killeen and moved to Arlington in September of 2006. She was a homemaker and was a member of East Fourth Street Baptist Church in Big Spring.Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Henrietta and Billy Harkrider of Arlington; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Karen Madry of Big Spring, Jesse Madry of Greenville and Rex Madry of Grand Prairie; six grandchildren, Joni Mays, Wesley Harkrider, Kim Pollard, Kenda McDonnell, Jeff Madry and Michael Madry; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Billie Jean Madry; 12 brothers and sisters; and a grandson, Lex Blevins Harkrider.The family suggests memorials be made to to a favorite charity.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
