Edward Oliver Wooten of Midland passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Midland Memorial Hospital. Funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at West Kentucky Baptist Church with Bro. Bob Porterfield officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. He was born on April 18, 1934 in Eastland, Texas to Aubra Onis and Zuma Brown Wooten. He married the love of his life Patricia Jane Decker on November 15, 1953 in Midland, Texas.His passions in life were his family and golf (not necessarily in that order). A member of Hogan Park Golf Course, he was one of the first members to make a hole-in-one. He was also a member of the Longhorn Breeders Association. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family. Every holiday turned into a grand celebration with all his loved ones just being together. He worked in the construction industry where he and his brother were self-employed.He is survived by his wife, Patricia Jane Wooten of Midland; one brother Jack Whitehead of San Angelo; one son, Steven Edward Wooten of Midland; three daughters, Connie Faye McClellan and husband, Greg of Midland; Tina Robinette Oliver and husband, Ollie of Hutto, Texas; and Kimberly Ann Herring and husband, Larron of Midland; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.Pallbearers are Greg McClellan, Larron Herring, Lance Corporal Brandon Herring, Ryan Richardson, Corey Barber and Blake Herring; with Honorary Pallbearers, Blake McPherson & Brant Farrar.Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home and Crematory.
