Damion Ray Ellis 28, of Midland, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. His family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 2:00pm at Nalley-Pickle and Welch Chapel in Midland with graveside following at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Damion was born on February 9, 1982 in Amarillo, TX to James Ellis and Ann Rolan. He attended Lee High School but graduated from Arlington High, and in the mean time he was taking online classes from the University of Phoenix. He enjoyed shopping and selling stuff on Ebay and Craigslist. His recent project was flipping his grandfather's home, which he loved to do even after working 50 to 60 hours a week. Some other hobbies that he had were golfing and playing chess. Damion was an ambitious person that never met a stranger. One of the most important things to him in life was that he always wanted to help someone, even if it was after he passed away. He chose to be an organ donor to give someone life. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Odom.He is survived by his mother Ann and John Rolan of Weatherford, TX; father James and Ginney Ellis of Phoenix, AZ; brother Jeromy and Danielle Shankle and niece Aubrey of Phoenix, AZ; brother Samuel Eaker of Midland; sister Cassie and R.J.
