Blake Landon Raulston, 19, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2010, in Odessa. He was a Christian, a racecar driver and a member of the Midland community for the past 12 years. He worked as a diesel mechanic to support his racecar habits. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel in Midland with Pastor Terry Easley officiating. Interment will follow the funeral services at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. Blake was born on July 16, 1991 in Bakersfield, California, to Darron and Cindy Morris Raulston. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, grandson, boyfriend, nephew, cousin and friend. He was very energetic, kind-hearted and a great big brother to his sisters. He was a professional practical joker and his goal in life was to put a smile on everybody's face around him. He enjoyed working out, was training in mixed martial arts but his passion was racing. He was an IMCA IStock Racer and he could be seen flying around the track in his "fReAkInBoB177" racecar at the Champion Motor Speedway and the Cardinal Motor Speedway. Blake is survived by his parents, Darron & Cindy Raulston of Midland; his sisters, Mallory and Shelby Raulston of Midland; his girlfriend, Katie Carbajal of Midland; his grandmother, Valerie Mehle of Tucson, Arizona; his grandfather, Doyle Raulston of Utah; his uncle, Kevin Raulston and his wife, Ann of Phoenix, Arizona; his aunt, Tammy Cooper of Midland; his uncle, Tom Morris of Bakersfield, California; his aunt, Debbie Keliipio of Midland; his uncle, James Morris of Bakersfield, California; and numerous cousins, friends and loved ones.
