Frances Naneene McKinney, 79, of Big Spring died Saturday November 17th, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Donita Lea, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Coahoma, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.Nan was born June 28, 1928 in Breckenridge, Texas. She was raised in Forsan and Coahoma, and graduated from Coahoma High School and attended McMurray College. She married Donald Bennett McKinney on May 6, 1948 in Coahoma. A long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Coahoma, she taught generations of Coahoma youth as a Sunday School teacher and superintendent, as well as a past MYF sponsor. She is a lifelong member and past worthy matron of Coahoma Chapter #499 Order of the Eastern Star. She was the librarian at Coahoma High School for 7 years and was a charter member of the Mary Jane Club. Nan was a talented artist, well known for her creative endeavors, and gracious hospitality. She loved antiques, gardening, and most of all, her many friends and family. She is survived by her husband Donald; two children, Larry McKinney and wife, Paula of Austin, Molly Foss and husband, Mark of Orange City, Iowa; two brothers, Paul Van Sheedy and wife, Charlotte of Big Spring, and Jack O'Neil Sheedy and wife, Sue of Benjamin. Nan has three grandchildren, Matthew Foss of Detroit, Michigan, Kelcee Murphy and husband, Matthew of Des Moines, Iowa and Patrick McKinney of Austin; and a host of nieces and nephews who lovingly called her Nan Nan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Frances (Pat) and Aurelia Sheedy. Pallbearers will be Cromwell Rhoton, Jerry Rogers, John Keller, Bill Patterson, Neal Barbee, Wendell Shive. Honorary pallbearers are James "Buddy" Barr, Dick Bartlett, Mike Niklasch and Howard College Trustees.The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church, P. O.
