Walter R. Little, 62, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, September 23, 2007, at his residence. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 28, 2007 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Floyd Green, officiating. He was born on April 11, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri and married Sharon Ashbacher on November 25, 1970 in San Antonio, Texas. Walter had served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and the Cuban Crisis. He had worked for the Big Spring Bowl-a-Rama since 1978. He was an avid drag racing fan. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Little of Odessa; his daughter, Diane Dalton of Odessa; his mother, Amy Little of San Antonio; two brothers, John W. Little of Austin, and Mark Harvey Little of San Antonio; five sisters, Sue White of Hawaii, Phyllis LeBrecht of San Antonio, Sandy Schaefer of Spring Branch, Lydia Ehrlich of San Antonio, and Rita Kearney of Louisiana; two grandsons, Dillon Dalton and Brandon Dalton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, John Harvey Little. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Leukemia Society, 12850 Spurling Drive, Suite 220, Dallas, Texas 75230 or to the US Bowling Congress Youth scholarship c/o the Bowl-A-Rama, 3318 East I-20, Big Spring, Texas 79720 or a charity of choice.
