Mary Anna Jones, 76, of Big Spring, died on Monday, February 26, 2007, at the Home Hospice House in Odessa. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, March 1, 2007 at the Trinity Memorial Park with Everett Bender and Dr. Shane Brue, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.She was born on June 12, 1930, in Big Spring, Texas and married Jimmie D. Jones on December 12, 1949 in Lovington, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on February 8, 1995.Mary Anna was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. She was an active volunteer in various civic and church organizations. She loved to visit with friends and family, telling stories and making them laugh. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmie Dee and Carol Jones of Wichita, Kansas; one granddaughter, Lainey Jones of Wichita, Kansas and one brother, Joe Whitaker. She was also preceded in death by two infants daughters.Honorary pallbearers will be Kimball Guthrie, John Currie, Jerry Grimes, Jerry Worthy, Barbara Gage, Wanda Coker, Charlie Lewis and Clyde McMahon, Jr.The family suggests memorials be made to Home Hospice, 111 E. 7th, Suite A, Big Spring, Texas 79720.Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
