Bonnie Joy Minton, 71, of Midland, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 11, 2004. Graveside services will be held at 10:30, Monday, November 15, 2004 at Resthaven Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 15, 2004 at the Crestview Baptist Church in Midland with Rev. John Gerlach pastor of Crestview Baptist Church, and Rev. Kenneth James retired Baptist minister, assisting. A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2004 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.She was born on July 31, 1933, in Eckley, Colorado and married Haden Minton on February 24, 1952 in Wray, Colorado.Bonnie worked for Eddins Walcher for 23 years retiring in 1996. She loved following her grandchildrens many endeavors. She was very active in church and was always the first to be there to help. She was also involved in managing her daughters softball teams. Some of her hobbies were playing games and going to estate sales, Bonnie never met a stranger. Her generosity towards others will never be forgotten. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Haden Minton of Midland; daughter Rita & husband David Clingman of Midland; son, Kevin Minton of Midland; daughter Julie & husband John Truitt of Midland; one brother, Keith Johnston of Grand Junction, Colorado; two sisters & brothers-in-law, Fern & Phil Hultquist of Ft. Morgan, Colorado, Donna & Marvin Higgins of Aurora, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Megan Clingman of San Angelo, Jenifer Minton of San Angelo, Kyle Minton of Midland, Dustin Truitt of College Station, Jessica Hollums of College Station, Ashley Truitt of Norman, Oklahoma and Hillary Hollums of Midland.She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Nellie Johnston, three brothers, Byron Johnston, Tommy Johnston and Dale Johnston and her infant sister, Mildred Johnston.Pallbearers will be Bethel Eiland, Bill Zeitler, Jimmy Lucas, Wendell Dean, Ed Parks, Billy Beaver, Ronnie Watson, and James Finley.The family suggests memorials to: Crestview Baptist Church, Heaven Bound Quartet Ministry, 3300 Thomas, Midland, TX 79703 , or to Hospice of Midland, P.O.
