Opal Pearl Merrill, 80, of Midland, died on Monday, March 11, 2002. A private memorial service will be held in the Paducah Cemetery in Paducah. She was born on October 8, 1921 in Paducah, Texas and married J. B. Merrill on August 18, 1939 in Paducah, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 4, 1953. Mrs. Merrill, moved from La Luz, New Mexico to Midland in 1986. Survivors include three sons, Bill Merrill of Midland, Tom Merrill of Mabank and Ronnie Merrill of La Luz, New Mexico; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Arrangements under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home.,
