Talton, Pauline Rebekah, 82, of Big Spring, died on Friday, December 29, 2000, in Scenic Mountain Medical Center following a short illness. Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM Monday, January 1, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Ed Williamson, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Rosewood Chapel from 3 PM to 4 PM prior to the services. Mrs. Talton was born July 24, 1918 on a ranch in Howard County. Her parents, Charles Wesley and Odessa Morris were long time Howard County ranchers. She graduated from McMurry College in 1941. She obtained her Masters Degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 1951. She married Jessie H. Talton November 23, 1951, and had lived in Big Spring since 1957. She taught elementary school in Forsan, Big Spring and Lamesa schools for a total of 30 years. She was a life member of the Masters Degree of Beta Sigma Phi, a life member of TSTA and a member of the Big Spring Chapter #67, Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she and her husband were members of the Couples Class for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jessie on March 21, 1992, and her sister, Marjorie E. Morris on January 7, 1991 all of Big Spring. Survivors include one niece, Mrs. Jimmy (Deanna) Foresyth of Big Spring; two great-nephews, David Foresyth of San Angelo and Paul Foresyth of Big Spring and several cousins. The Family suggests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, 400 Scurry, Big Spring, Texas 79720. Pallbearers will be David Foresyth, Paul Foresyth, Carroll Choate, Bobby Hill, Reeves Moren and Hayes Stripling, Jr. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.,
