Vivian Rush, 57, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, August 19, 2001, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 21, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Ulis Johnson, Church of Christ minister in Colorado City, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on November 14, 1943 in Roswell, New Mexico and married Richard Rush on October 31, 1982 in Big Spring, Texas. Vivian worked at Dunlaps for 19 years, and has worked for Cornell Corrections since 1995. She worked with the United Way and enjoyed crafts, gardening and dogs. She was especially fond of her children and grandchildren. She was loved by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Richard Rush of Big Spring; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Gary Matthews and his daughter, Meagan, Ricky and Tammy Matthews and children, Blain and Cassie, Michael and Brandi Matthews and daughter, Breeana, all of Big Spring, and Mike and Michelle Rush and daughter, Ally, of Wylie; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Benton Posey and children, Chad and Stacy, of Weatherford, Carla and Paul Kistler and daughters, Christi and Katie, of Big Spring; three brothers, Mike Rains and wife, Virgie, of Midland, Elton Rains and wife, Patsy, of Clarksville, Arkansas, and Cecil Rains of New Boston; and five sisters, Geneva Christian and husband, Niel, of Dimmitt, Lorine Jones, Jo Day Martin and Alice Butler all of Clarksville, Arkansas and Norma Rose and husband, Ben, of Hobbs, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Louise Wydell of Fort Worth. The family suggest memorials to the donors favorite charity.
