Jackson, Myrtle, 89, of Big Spring, died on Friday, August 11, 2000, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, August 14, 2000, at the Nalley-Pickle and Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. H. A. Hanks, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. Mrs. Jackson was born on November 26, 1910 in Clark County, Mississippi and married Amon Jackson on June 18, 1929 in Colorado City, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1986. Myrtle had lived in the Vealmoor area for a number of years and then lived in Knott for over 20 years before moving to Andrews. She moved back to Big Spring in 1991. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Big Spring and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include: three daughters, Karen Walls of Glenrose, Doris Smith of Big Spring, and Neva Green of Monahans; one son, Darrell Jackson of Andrews; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daugther, Eulene Jones; and two brothers, Seaborn and Bill Bonner. The family suggests memorials be made to Home Hospice, 600 S. Gregg St. Big Spring, TX 79720.
