Simona DeLeon, 39, of Big Spring, died on Sunday, June 25, 2000, at her residence. Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Thursday, June 29, 2000, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. James Plagen, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. She was born on February 18, 1961 in Big Spring, Texas. Simona was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and was a nurse's aide with Nurses Unlimited for sixteen years. She was a Catholic. Survivors include a daughter, Carmelita Martinez of Big Spring; her father, Daniel DeLeon, Sr. of Arizona; four sisters, Delores Hilario of Big Spring, Mary Dugdale and Lydia Baldez both of California and Virginia DeLeon of Alabama; three brothers, Fidencio DeLeon and Paul DeLeon both of Big Spring and Daniel DeLeon of Arizona and one grandson, David Ray Martinez of Big Spring.
