Cox, Lucy, 88, of Sterling City, formerly of Denver City, died on Tuesday, February 13, 2001, in a San Angelo hospital. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 15, 2001, at the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, Texas, with Skip Rodgers, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Mrs. Cox was born on August 28, 1912 in Hamilton, Texas and married Duell Cox on October 10, 1929 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1996. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Pruit of Garden City; three sons, James Cox of Rogers, Kenneth Cox of Garden City and Richard Cox of Dallas; four brothers, Jack Taylor, Marion Taylor and A. B. Taylor all of Midland and Robert Taylor of Andrews; three sisters, Lilly Raevins of Mesquite and Billy Flynn and Beatrice Miller both of Midland; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Barnes; her parents; two sisters and one brother. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.,
