Jean Brummett, 60, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday, April 7, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Ken McMeans, pastor of College Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on May 4, 1940 in Howard County, Texas and married C. B. Brummett, Jr. on November 19, 1954 in Big Spring, Texas. Mrs. Brummett was a lifetime resident of Howard County. She enjoyed raising animals on the farm, driving tractors, cooking and being involved in FFA and 4-H with her children. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband, C. B. Brummett, Jr. of Big Spring; one son and daughter-in-law, Audry and Debbie Brummett of Big Spring; two daughters, Sharon Thompson of Oklahoma and Joie Salvato of Big Spring; one granddaughter and her husband, Sandy and Kyle Miller of Midland; one grandson, John Brummett of Big Spring; one great grandson, Kelby Miller of Midland; three brothers, Oren Lancaster, Jr. of Knott, John Daughtery of Nacogdoches and Ben Daughtery of Kaufman and two sisters, Mary Ray and Shirley Weaver both of Big Spring. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Pallbearers will be nephews, Trey Lancaster, Torbin Lancaster, Ronnie Daughtery, Gary Daughtery, John William Daughtery and Jim Ray. The family suggests memorials to: Borden County Ambulance Fund, Gail, Texas 79738. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
