Talmage E. Bolding

Talmadge E. Bolding, Sr., 72, of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, July 31, 2001, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 3, 2001, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Rev. Ken McMeans, pastor of College Baptist Church, officiating. He was born on April 21, 1929 in Rising Star, Texas and married Catherine Doll on December 31, 1953 in Gary, Indiana. She preceded him in death on June 14, 1987. Mr. Bolding graduated from Brownwood High School in 1946 and received his Associate Degree from John Tarleton Associate College. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Walker Auto Parts for 34 years. He was a member of College Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Talmadge E. Bolding, Jr. of Fort Worth, Garry Bolding of Dallas and Russell Wilkinson of Mesa, Arizona; one daughter, Karen Childers of Allen; one brother, Grady Bolding of Brownwood; four grandsons and two cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burette and Velma West Bolding. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 PM to 8 PM.
