Grimes, George Sidney, 95, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas died in a local hospital Sunday, December 31, 2000. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 5, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Kenneth Patrick, Chaplain of Baptist Memorial Center in San Angelo, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. The Family will recieve friends at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, January 4. Born in Marshall, Missouri in 1906, he was the son of Clarence Tilden Grimes and Annie Elizabeth Easley Grimes. He graduated from Slater High School in Missouri and went to work for the railroad in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Six months later he went to work for Marlin Refinery (now Continental Oil Company) in Ponca City, Oklahoma. In 1925 he married Emma Sherbon in Ponca City.
