Luther G. Bedwell

Bedwell, Luther G., 86, of Snyder, died on Monday, January 29, 2001, in a Snyder nursinghome. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, February 2, 2001, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Allan Matthies, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. He was born on April 12, 1914 in Dierks, Arkansas. He lived in Big Spring for 50 years retiring from Webb Airbase as an inspector supervisor for 32 years. Also ran Bedwell's Book Store for many years after retirement. Luther was a member of First Baptist Church of Snyder. Survivors include his wife, Verlene of the home; two daughters, Alice Henry and Neva Brunson of Dallas; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Ramona Dillin of Idalou and Wanda Taylor of Abilene; one step-son, John Murphy of San Angelo; nine step grandchildren; two brothers, Cecil Arnold of Big Spring and Richard Lee Arnold of Brownwood and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 4 brothers. Arrangements under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.,
