Arnold, Eva I., 78 of Big Spring, died on Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 22, 2000, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rev. Tommy Williams, Evangelist and Rev. R. T. Havener, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park. She was born on February 3, 1922 in Jayton, Texas and married Loyd V. Arnold on December 23, 1939 in Shepherd, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1999. Mrs. Arnold had worked as a nurse's aide. She did private sitting for 40 years and was a homemaker. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include four daughters, Charlene Kennedy, Eva Chappell, Elaine Matthies and Brenda Dugger all of Big Spring; three sons, Ronnie Huitt, Roger Huitt and Rodney Huitt all of Big Spring; 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Reynolds; two sisters, Jewell Kelley and Ora Huitt; and two brothers, Joe Hamlin and Ed Hamlin. Pallbearers will be Charles Huitt, Joey Huitt, Shane Huitt, Terry Huitt, Erick Dugger, and Chris Leal. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Huitt, Preston Huitt, Buck Chappell and John Chappell. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association, 3525 Andrews Hwy. Suite 111, Midland, Texas 79703. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
