He attended Tarleton State University and East Texas State University at Commerce. He had owned and operated a Ford dealership in Bonham. He had worked for Commercial Credit Corporation and had also been a real estate broker in Dallas. Mr. Gay had lived in Big Spring for a number of years. He was a Methodist. Survivors include: two sisters, Virginia Gay of Dallas and Betty Pruitt of DeKalb; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.,
