Wayne Pate

Wayne Pate, 77, of Big Spring, died on Monday, November 19, 2001, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 21, 2001, at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel, with Rev. Roger Huff, Pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. He was born on August 28, 1924 in Denton County, Texas and married Marie Flanagan on October 4, 1941 in Sanger, Texas. Mr. Pate worked as an operator for Cosden Oil and Chemical for thirty years before retiring in 1982 with Fina Oil and Chemical. Farming was his favorite hobby. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Marie Pate of Big Spring; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Larry Knox of Waco; a son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Carol Pate of Big Spring; one sister, Edith Telford of Greenville; two granddaughters, Dede Webb of Round Rock and Joie Marie Bailey and husband, Headlee, of Lewisville; two grandsons, Joe Don Worthan of Grapevine and Clayton Pate of Abilene; three great grandaughters, Saydee Bailey, Abbee Bailey and Jessica Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.E. and Jessie Pate and one brother W.E.,
