Welcome to Stanton - Home of 3000 Friendly People and Few Old Sore Heads. It is the county seat of Martin County, and is located on Interstate Highway 20 100 miles south of Lubbock in the southeastern part of the county. Stanton is the proud home of the Old Sore Head Trade Days. The next event will be held Saturday, October 11 with displays opening at 9:00 am and Sunday, October 12 from noon until 5:00 pm.
